~~Junk Salvation, the show and my finds~~

Well last Saturday I did something that I don't do often enough....but the stars lined up and I drove up to Portland to meet my best friend so we could both attend the Junk Salvation show for the first time.....I found the chair above in Isabel's booth (Maison Douce), her booth was just lovely and I fell hard for this chair!

It's really perfectly tattered, no? But the price was right (unbelievable, really) so I couldn't say no...I love it's shape and how someone tried to cover the arms with parts of an old quilt.

And the fabrics not too bad to look at either....Isabel told me that Heather Bullard had been eyeing the same chair, I'm so glad she didn't scoop it up. I may have cried had I seen someone else carrying it out....)

This sweet little hand stitched heart with to-die-for embroidery came from the booth of a lovely woman named Lisa Love Harris, she had some wonderful things! This little heart was calling my name.....I love the spots that are discolored and the hand stitching.

This beauty was found at the local flea....

As was this little beauty.....couldn't leave it behind and I won't be selling this one!

And I can't seem to get enough of these old wallpaper boxes either, this one was found on ebay for a song.....love it.
So after Junk Salvation we had lunch then went to Stars where I found some more wonderful items, I always do at Stars...most are listed in my shop but I did keep some treasures for myself.....but the best treasure of the day was spending it with my best friend Melanie who I just don't get to see enough of because of our busy schedules....we've both determined that we need to really make a point of getting together more often!!
There, I wrote it down, now we HAVE to make it happen!

Hi Gail, will you leave the chair as is or will you recover? I'm guessing as is? Love the wallpaper box.
