What I'm obsessing about today........

vintage embroidery....more specifically....french knots! Aren't these stunning? I about died....

this piece is a very large square tablecloth in great condition with these gorgeous latticework baskets on each of the four corners....loving this!

Saw this sweetie for 1.99 at St. Vinnies....it's a cute little runner....had a couple of stains on it that I just rubbed with a fresh lemon...voila, stains gone!

more pretty french knots with a combination of crochet edging....so pretty!

hmmm, wonder if I could do this kind of work? I haven't embroidered anything since I was a teen.

Do you embroider? I must give this a try again!!
I'm linking up here today!

What a steal for just $1.99!! Embroidery Work like that is absolutely beautiful and getting harder and harder to find.

that work is just amazing,
I can't believe that women had time to sit and do such amazing detailed needlework back then.
I have tried it, I am best at the primitive style.
It can be all crazy and its okay, my eyes have gone too much to do something like this.
JUST WOW!

Isn't it amazing how much detail these old linens have? So much time and love has been invested in them and they are usually sold for a song. I think that it's wonderful when they fall into the hands of someone who truly appreciates them!!! Just looking at them makes me want to embroider again too ~ hugs and love, Dawn

Oh, don't I wish I embroidered. I tried but nothing like this ever was produced.

Gail, these are amazing. I love French knots and not because they are called French, lol
