| Here's a very tiny portion of the jam that we put up today.....it took hours but in the dead of Winter when it's freezing cold outside and you want some toast with jam...this fits the bill. It's a taste of Summer in the middle of Winter. I highly recommend! Sorry Smuckers...:( You've been replaced! |

Oh how fun! We used to pick wild blackberries on Sauvies Island and make the best jam ever. You are absolutely right about a bite of Summer in the dead of winter!

Yes, it's pretty much the highlight of our dd's summer!
She loves her raspberry jam! And I lvoe making it with her.......I love blackberry jam too.
Oh, how I complained when my mom would can peaches, jams and tomatoes.
Now, I'd give anything to have a jar of homemade jam or my mom's famous tomato relish.
